Balancing the Chakras = Balancing your Life

The word chakra means wheel in Sanskrit, though these are not like any wheels we’ve ever seen. Within the physical body resides a spiritual body that contains the Chakras and are centers of activity that receive, assimilate and express life force energy. They are responsible for a person's physical, mental, and spiritual functions. They absorb and transmit energies to and from the universe, nature, celestial entities, from people and even from things.

Chakras have been studied and demonstrated time and again in the Ayurvedic and yogic traditions, as well as through the Chinese concepts of Qi and the Meridians.

Chakras have so much to do with your physical and spiritual energy, if your chakras are out of balance then it is very hard for your life to be balanced as well. We may find that we become more prone to accident or illness, or that our lives are unhappy, unsatisfying and/or chaotic. All of your senses, perceptions and possible states of awareness can be divided into seven primary areas, and each of these areas can be associated with a particular chakra. When you feel tension in your consciousness, you feel it in the chakra associated with the part of your consciousness experiencing the stress, and in the parts of the physical and energy body associated with that chakra. Where you feel the stress depends therefore on why you feel the stress.

Many healers will be able to perceive your chakras and whether they are balanced, open, and healthy. But it is not really necessary to be able to perceive them in order to evaluate them and their state of balance, because it will show up clearly in the physical world at some point. When there is an imbalance in your chakra system, it will very obviously manifest itself in your body, emotions, thoughts or in circumstances of your life. The key is to be able to interpret these manifestations so that you can target the affected chakra to achieve balance.

There are many ways to balance the chakras. One of the more effective ways is to work with an energy healer to align and balance your chakras so that your body and mind are in sync. But you can also try many great techniques to balance your own chakras. There are many resources on the internet that can guide you through these steps (such as this one here) but keep in mind that the way to make any energy-work method effective is to do it mindfully and with sacred intention to heal. In other words, it's the intention rather than the exact method that's important.

Chakra balancing, in combination with other energy techniques, can provide a great deal of emotional and spiritual healing and can help to balance your life. Always remember though that if you have a serious physical or mental health concern you should seek the care of a physician or mental health professional who can help you decide what to do next.
